One-day Itinerary

Sports, nature, leisure, restoration and culture

Without a doubt, a day in Torremolinos is an opportunity. The city offers, in just 24 hours, a trip back in time, the best Spanish cuisine, unforgettable experiences and, of course, the calm waters of the Mediterranean. You will certainly need more time to discover it in depth. After one day in Torremolinos, you will be longing to come back time and again. Sports, nature, leisure, restoration, culture and, of course, relaxing by the Mediterranean are some of the many options of this beautiful spot of the Costa del Sol. We suggest the following plan for an intense day:

Sunrise on the Paseo Marítimo

Meet the tourist history of Torremolinos by walking all along the promenade, wonder with natural monuments like El Morro  and understand why our local beaches make of this city one of the most popular destinations in southern Europe. In summer, you can also take a dip to start the day with energy, while the warm winter sun will make you enjoy this season as never before.

City centre

It is also a good time to visit part of the local heritage, such as the Church of Buen Consejo, the Casa de los Navajas or the Torre de los Molinos, a beacon tower of Arab origin built around the year 1300. If you have cultural interests, do not hesitate to approach the Cultural Center Pablo Ruiz Picasso and check our cultural agenda, with exhibitions and events throughout the year.

A walk through the Torremolinos centre will take you to the heart of the city.

With San Miguel Street as the main axis of trade and a variety of restaurants, nearby streets and squares such as La Nogalera, Andalusia and Costa del Sol with a wide selection of shops covering from crafts, designer clothing, footwear and other accessories.

A snack on the way

The city centre is the perfect place to enjoy a good snack thanks to the traditional  Spanish tapas, although the gastronomy is lived to the full by the beach. The neighborhoods of  Carihuela and El Bajondillo  are two of the best options to experience modern restaurants and chiringuitos in the sand with an incomparable specialty: the “fried pescaito”. Paellas, traditional stews and wines from the region complete an unbeatable gastronomical offer. Then have a well deserved nap or “siesta” on one of the Balinese beds or a hammock on the beach.

An afternoon of leisure

After recovering, the afternoon is the perfect occasion to experience some of the attractive leisure activities offered by Torremolinos. Live the adrenaline rush of a water park or stroll through the jardín botánico  y el Parque de la Batería. And to make your day in Torremolinos an unforgetable one, enjoy a good cocktail or a glass of wine in the Beach of los Álamos listening to chill out music while the sun comes down. A unique moment.
